Our Polytechnic College campus is just 3 km away from Pavoorchatram and on the highway of a sprawling 41.2 acres on plain ground a 45 minutes travel by fast express from Tirunelveli. The Western Ghats stand imposingly behind the College serving as a panoramic backdrop while on the front lies the State Highway on which the large fleet of trucks, buses, cars and other vehicles roar by throughout 24 hours a day. The rainfall is just enough to make the living pleasant. Especially when the Courtallam season is on, the place noise and bustle of the summer resort.
The campus being on a virgin land far away from the pollutant generating centres via, cities, factories etc., the atmosphere is as pure as anyone can dream of when the world is passing through difficult times with its eco-balance under threat, as voiced by the environmentalists. The water taken from the ground is crystal - clear and uncontaminated.

M.S.P.Velayutha Nadar Lakshmithaiammal Polytechnic College was established on 14th August 1985 by the dedicated and service minded Thiru M.S.P.V. Kaliappan and Thiru M.S.P.V.Perianan in honour and memory of their parents Late Sri M.S.P Velayutha Nadar & Srimathi Lakshmithaiammal, to serve the rural based students in the most backward area of Tenkasi District and this institution commenced its excellent service on 30th September 1985.
